HPCL Ties to FuelBuddy for Deliveries
December 9, 2022Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd.’s distributors will deliver automotive and industrial grade lubricants to customers’ doorsteps throughout India via a partnership with FuelBuddy, a fuel delivery service based on a mobile phone app.
United Oil, Repsol Expand Indonesia Plant
December 9, 2022Singapore-based United Oil Co. and Repsol are proceeding with a previously announced plan to expand their joint venture lubricant plant in Indonesia, stating that the increased capacity will come onstream next year. Repsol said the additional products made at the plant will be sold primarily in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.
Profits Up at Thai Oil, Down at MJL, Eastern
December 9, 2022Net profit for Thai Oil’s base oil business rose 21% for the quarter ending Sept. 30. Base oil prices were steady in the quarter, the company said, despite the impacts of depressed Chinese demand and the rainy season in the region. Among companies in Bangladesh, MJL Bangladesh and Easterns Lubricants Blenders reported lower profits for the quarter.
