SI Adds Antioxidant Capacity in India

Additives manufacturer SI Group is expanding production capacity at its Rasal, India, factory for antioxidants used in lubricants and greases, and will use the facility to make its first aminic antioxidants. The expansion will increase capacity by several thousand tons, according to the company.

2-wheeler Lube Growth Forecast for Asia

Asia-Pacific accounted for close to 80% of about 1.6 to 1.7 million tons of worldwide motorcycle engine oil demand in 2021 – led by India, Indonesia and China – and will experience the highest volumetric growth in such demand out to 2026, consultancy Kline & Co. projected.

Hindustan Lube Sales Fell in 2021-22

Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd. reported that its lubricant sales declined 12% in fiscal year 2021-2022 as it dealt with constraints that included availability of product supplies pursuant to a planned turnaround at its base oil plant in Mumbai.
