India Cuts Palm Oil Import Duty

India implemented a temporary cut in the duty charged on palm oil imports, part of an effort to offset a sharp run-up in prices over the past year. Analysts said the move will probably lead to a rebound in palm oil demand in India, the world’s largest importer of the commodity, which is used primarily in foods and biofuels but also in renewable lubricants.

SK Extends Use of Recycled Containers

Japan’s domestic passenger car sales grew 5% to 296,623 in June, compared to the same month in 2020, while the sales for the first six months of this year increased 11% to 2 million, compared to the same period in 2020, according to data compiled by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association.
