Shipments of castor oil derivatives are flowing from India once again, easing availability of popular grease additives after supplies were constrained last month by a lockdown meant to combat Covid-19.

In Japan, lost light vehicle production volume related to the covid-19 pandemic will reach more than 400,000 units by the end of June, as the Japanese government announced extended lockdowns in various parts of the country, IHS Markit said in an April 30 news release. Japan’s full-year 2020 light vehicle production is now expected to decline by 20.4 percent year-over-year to 7.3 million units, according to the global information company.
