Japan's Auto Exports Rise

Japan exported 4.8 million motor vehicles in 2019, a marginal increase from 2018, while domestic sales for all motor vehicles dropped 1.5 percent, according to data compiled by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association.

Sri Lanka Chases Unauthorized Lubes

A Sri Lankan government agency raided 15 retail shops in mid-February and confiscated unauthorized lubricants as part of an effort to address the increasing number of consumer complaints about sales of low-quality lubricants in the market.

Profits Up for Singaporean, Indian Lube Companies

Singapores lubricant blenders United Global and AP Oil reported strong increases in net profit for 2019, and Sri Lankas Chevron Lubricants Lanka also posted substantially higher net profit for last year, compared to 2018.
