Group II Price Index Tested in China

Chinese lubricant associations and refiners are testing a price index for API Group II base oils, a first step toward what is intended to be a broader source of transparent information about base oil values.

JXTG Sales Jump in Thailand

JXTGs subsidiary in Thailand expects 25 percent higher lubricant sales volumes in the country for 2018 than initially targeted, thanks to a large increase in distribution outlets, a company spokesman told Lube Report.

Japan Adds Chemicals to Hazards List

Registration requirements for two lubricant and grease components, dicyclohexylamine and morpholine, took effect in Japan Jan. 1, due to an amendment to the list of Poisonous and Deleterious Substances, according to a statement by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
