There has been a touch more business in the U.S. Gulf, and the same seems to be the case in Asia. European markets are largely unchanged however. Tianhe Reports Rough Waters

Tianhe Chemicals recently reported a 57 percent decline in gross profits from its lubricant additives segment for the first half of 2019, citing challenges ranging from declining demand for its products to difficulty meeting customer requirements.

Asia-Pacific Energy Demands Grow

Asia-Pacifics energy demand is forecast to grow 33 percent from 2017 to 2040, with oil, natural gas and coal making up 85 percent of total energy consumption, according to a new study from ExxonMobil. Wind and solar power are making rapid inroads in the region, especially in China.

Chevron announced it signed an agreement with Hilditch Pty to distribute API Group II base oils in Australia, effective Oct. 1. Lubricant blender Pakistan State Oil Co. announced that Syed Jehangir Ali Shah was assigned the post of CEO and managing director effective Sept. 1 for another 90 days or until the appointment of a regular incumbent, whichever occurs earlier.
