Prestone, a United States-based supplier of coolants and brake fluids, launched in the Philippines a range of branded motor oils formulated for tropical climates. The products are blended in Singapore and meet American Petroleum Institute specs. Emirati firm Gulf Petrochem rebranded to GP Global to reflect its goal of becoming a more international corporation. GP supplies Ipol lubricants in India through its subsidiary GP Petroleums Ltd. Asia-focused specialty chemicals distributor Connell Brothers signed an agreement to distribute South Korean firm Songwon Industrial Co.s fuels and lube additives, including aminic, phenolic and phosphite ranges, throughout India.
