Locks Oil Starts Production at Blending Plant

Locks Oil & Chemical (Zhejiang) Ltd. recently began operations at its new lubricant blending plant in Chinas Haiyan economic development zone. The company said the plant, which has 50,000 metric tons per year production capacity, will help meet growing demand for its products in south and east China.

Results Mixed for Indian Companies

Balmer Lawrie & Co. reported an increase in operating profit, and Tide Water Oil Co. posted a jump in standalone net profit, while both Maximus International Ltd. and Continental Petroleum Ltd. reported declines in net profit, each for the quarter ending Sept. 30.

SK Lubricants Co. will provide gear oil to Malaysian carmaker Proton after the two companies signed an agreement last week. SK Lubricants will supply ATF AP3 gear oil to Proton’s Saga MC car model beginning in April 2019 and running through the 32 months afterward. Savita Oil Technologies will manufacture and supply engine oils to Indian automobile manufacturerTata Motors under the Tata Motors Original Oils brand name.
