Chinese Automaker Opens Blending Plant
May 17, 2016Most car companies rely on lube producers for their factory-fill engine oils, but one Chinese automaker is committed to making its own. In late April, a lube-producing arm of Dongfeng Motor Corp. opened its third blending plant in Shiyan, Hubei province.
Hyrax Inks Sri Lanka Deal
May 17, 2016Hyrax Oil, of Malaysia, will construct a blending plant in Sri Lanka to supply lubricants for national oil company Ceylon Petroleum Corp. as part of a 20-year deal signed by the companies this month.
Fuchs Plans Bigger China Plant
May 17, 2016Fuchs Petrolub is building a new lubricants blending plant in Suzhou, Chinas Wujiang district to replace a smaller existing plant in Shanghai. The new facility, expected to open in 2018, will offer several benefits including favorable logistics and proximity to customers, the company said.
