Infineum Opens Plant in China

Infineum announced Thursday the opening of its first wholly owned lubricant additive production site in China, a 100,000 metric ton per year blending plant in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province.

Ceypetco Granted Blending Rights

Malaysias state-owned Petronas Lubricants International plans to increase sales in Australia and New Zealand with a new marketing company, PLI Australia Pty Ltd., and an office near Sydney.

Construction Begins on PIB Plant

BASF Petronas Chemicals Sdn broke ground Thursday on a 50,000 metric ton per year highly reactive polyisobutene plant at its petrochemical complex in Gebang, Kuantan, Malaysia. The facility, which is scheduled to come online during the first quarter of next year, will make HR-PIBs for lubricant and fuel additives.

Angus Chemicalopened a technical center in Singapore where customers can receive training in the use of Angus specialty chemicals and work on product development in applications such as metalworking fluids. Phillips 66 Lubricants‘ Kendall motor oils are now being sold in the Indonesian market through authorized distributor PT Kendali Andalan Sempurna.
