JX Nippon, TonenGeneral Announce Merger

JX Holdings and TonenGeneral Sekiyu KK announced Thursday that they will merge as a way of coping with Japans declining demand for fuel and oil products.

India Accelerates Emissions Schedule

India announced it will implement Bharat Stage V and VI emissions standards for passenger vehicles three years earlier than previously planned, in 2019 and 2021 respectively.

Upgrade Planned for Cilacap Base Oils

Indian Oil Corp. Ltd. signed a licensing agreement to offer Servo hydraulic fluids formulated with Dynavis additive technology from German additive supplier Evonik. The Belarusian lubricant additive joint venture LLK-Naftan said it is increasing sales to India and other parts of South and Central Asia.
