Working to emerge from a financial crisis, Chinese lubricant marketer DongHao Oil Group is receiving financial support from distributors and planning to sell its chain of automobile maintenance centers, the companys president told Lube Report Asia.

Synthetic lubricant demand in Asia-Pacific should rise in coming years as governments toughen regulations on fuel economy and vehicle emissions, an ExxonMobil Chemical official told an industry conference in Beijing last week.

Mumbai-based transformer oils supplier Apar Industries Ltd. said its subsidiary in Singapore, Petroleum Specialities Pte. Ltd., will construct a facility in the United Arab Emirates by the end of 2015.
