Lopal Forms Pact with SAIC-GM-Wuling

Lopal Technology Co. announced last week that it has reached a framework agreement with electric automaker SAIC-GM-Wuling to develop and recycle EV batteries and that it intends to supply batteries and lubricants to the joint venture.

Dongfeng Castrol JV Plant Starts Production

The Dongfeng Castrol Oil Products Co. Ltd. joint venture announced early last month the first batch trial lubricants production at its 170,000 metric tons per year blending plant in Wuhan, China, as the last step before formal production at the site.

In January, India’s two-wheeler sales increased 5% to 1.2 million, its passenger vehicle sales rose 17% to 298,093 and its three-wheeler sales jumped 103% to 48,903, compared to results in the same month last year, according to data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers.
