Japan Lube Production Fell in November

Finished lubricant production in Japan declined 14%, while domestic sales increased 2% in November, compared to the same month last year, a government agency reported yesterday.

Richful Receives Warning from Securities Bureau

Richful Lube Additive Co. disclosed this week that it received a warning from securities officials who concluded that some funds raised from a 2020 public stock offering were not used as the company had said on a factory that is under construction.

PSP Reports Higher Profits

Thai independent lubricant manufacturer P.S.P. Specialties Public Co. reported a 24% jump in net profit despite a 7% decrease in sales revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30, noting how a decrease in prices for raw materials helped increase gross profit.

Sales of motorcycles and scooters in six Southeast Asia countries – Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore – fell 28% to 830,984 in October, compared to the same month last year, according to Asean Automotive Federation data. Year-to-date through October, sales were down 5% at 10.5 million.
