Trade Group, Agencies Fight Counterfeiting

The Indonesia Lubricants Association organized a talk show last month to discuss how it is cooperating with the nation’s government to crack down on sales of counterfeit lubricants. Speakers discussed police raids on counterfeiters and a national quality standard.

PSP Conducts Stock Offering

P.S.P. Specialties Public Co. on Aug. 30 conducted an initial public stock offering – putting up for sale around 25% of its shares to raise money for an upgrade of its Thailand lubricant blending plant and to pay off debt.

Japan Lube Production Down, Sales Up

Finished lubricants production in Japan decreased 5%, while domestic sales rose 4% in August, according to data released today by a government agency.

Boon Rawd Supply Chain Co., Thailand’s P.S.P. Specialties Public Co. and W. Sirikarn Auto Parts Co. signed a memorandum of understanding on Sept. 6 to study ways to jointly invest in a project to develop and sell lubricants for automotive and industrial applications. L.B. Foster Co. said it will extend its strategic partnership with Fuchs Lubricants Co. to additional rail markets in Australia, China and South America, in addition to North America.
