German-based grease and lubrication systems manufacturer H-T-L perma USA is expanding its production capacity at a new headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, the company announced. Since 1995, perma USA has operated a factory in Charlotte.

The company offers electrochemical single-point lubrication systems, electromechanical single-point lubrication systems and electromechanical multipoint lubrication systems.

Under its own brands, perma also makes multipurpose greases and a food-grade lubricant. It also offers greases from such brands as ExxonMobil, Shell, Chevron and Phillips 66.

Johannes Kiesel, managing director of perma USA, said the expansion will streamline “our internal operations and cater to our growth plans. We will have even greater control over the quality and cost of our products and can pass on those benefits to our employees, customers and the community.”

The company says it supplies more single-point lubrication systems than any other manufacturer worldwide. In a press release, it said it is expanding in Charlotte in order to reach more customers in the United States, Canada and Latin America.

The facility will have net-zero annual energy consumption, and the company is switching to an all-electric vehicle fleet.

Construction for the production facility will begin this year with an inauguration scheduled for 2023.
