LyondellBasell announced today it is weighing strategic options for its U.S. Gulf Coast-based refining segment, including a potential sale. The company shut down its API Group II and naphthenic base oil plant in Houston in 2019, following expiration of a contract that allowed Calumet to market naphthenic base oils from the plant.
