Castrol Extends Vecton Oil Drain Intervals

Castrol has introduced an extended drain interval for its Vecton Long Drain 15W-40 CK-4/SQ/NG heavy-duty engine oil, allowing diesel oil changes at up to 100,000 miles (161,000 km), a 25% increase from the previous 80,000-mile limit, the company claims.

The lubricant is designed for mixed commercial fleets operating diesel, natural gas and gasoline engines, allowing operators to use one oil across different engine types.

Vecton Long Drain uses Castrol’s DuraPro Enhanced Technology to maintain performance across varied applications. The extended drain interval is intended to reduce maintenance requirements, increase vehicle uptime and simplify fleet operations.

The product carries API CK-4, SQ and NG designations, covering diesel, gasoline and natural gas engine applications. Longer drain intervals should be assessed against individual engine manufacturers’ requirements and operating conditions.

Fuchs Launches Metal-forming Range

Fuchs Lubricants Co. is launching a range of metal forming lubricants for automotive and industrial manufacturers, targeting applications involving advanced high-strength steel and complex part designs.

The range includes ECO DRAW HVE1, a synthetic water-miscible fluid for light to heavy-duty forming that provides corrosion protection and can be used on parts entering body-in-white paint systems. RENOFORM OS 7802 is a chlorine-free, water-miscible lubricant for medium to heavy-duty drawing and stamping, while RENOFORM FB 6884 is a highly chlorinated straight oil for severe operations such as fine blanking and punching heavy-gauge steel.
