ProFluid Opens Global Innovation and Technology Center in Kentucky

ProFluid, LLC has opened a 4,000-square-foot innovation and technology center in Lexington, Kentucky, expanding its research, product development, testing and technical service capabilities across lubricants, greases, additives, specialty chemicals and immersion cooling fluids.

The company is investing more than U.S.$3 million in the center’s first phase, including laboratory equipment, engine and equipment testing systems, pilot-scale manufacturing equipment, technical staff and customer education programs. The facility will serve as ProFluid’s main hub for product development, validation, pilot manufacturing, engine testing and customer collaboration.

The center is about 30 minutes from ProFluid’s specialty component manufacturing and packaging operation in McKee, Kentucky. The two sites will connect research, formulation, pilot production, commercial manufacturing and technical support, according to the company.

ProFluid said the facility will support lubricant manufacturers, OEMs, distributors, grease producers, additive suppliers and industrial customers. Its capabilities include formulation, analytical chemistry, performance testing, engine and equipment testing, tribology and wear analysis, field testing, pilot-scale blending, product validation, benchmarking, failure analysis and lubricant diagnostics.
