New Sales Head at Pennine
Pennine Lubricants has promoted Dale Fletcher to UK sales manager after more than eight years with the company. Dale joined Pennine as an internal sales coordinator before moving into sales and technical support and later overseeing the Midlands region. He has developed customer relationships and won several major accounts during his time with the company.
In his new role, Dale said he plans to bring Pennine’s internal sales and technical sales engineers closer together to create a more unified team and strengthen customer support. Sales Director John Grieson said his promotion reflects his contribution to the business and the relationships he has built with customers and colleagues. The company said the appointment forms part of its investment in its people and customer service across the UK.

CMT Launches Onboard Oil Condition Analyser
CM Technologies (CMT) will introduce a compact oil analyser that allows ship crews to assess lubricant condition within minutes rather than waiting for shore-based laboratory results. The WBS Analyser uses infrared spectroscopy to measure water, base number and soot from a single system-oil sample. Results can help crews identify lubricant degradation caused by oxidation, additive depletion and contamination from glycol or fuel.
CMT says the analyser is designed to provide reliable information for maintenance decisions while vessels remain in service, rather than replace laboratory testing. The instrument has no moving parts in its optical system, reducing mechanical wear and making it suitable for the vibration, temperature variation and confined conditions onboard ships.
