SK Enmove and HF Sinclair’s Lubricants & Specialties segment have signed long-term agreements covering the supply and distribution of API Group III base oils in North America. Under the deal, SK Enmove will supply its Group III base oils to HF Sinclair for use in finished lubricant products, while HF Sinclair will become the exclusive distributor of SK Enmove’s Yubase Group III base oils across its key North American markets. The companies said the agreements are intended to strengthen supply reliability and expand market access.
The agreements follow HF Sinclair’s announcement last week that it plans to separate its Lubricants & Specialties business into an independent publicly traded company and retire its base oil refining assets in Mississauga, Ontario, during 2027, as well as a distribution agreement with Chevron announced yesterday, effective 2027.
SK Enmove said the supply agreement provides a long-term route into North America through HF Sinclair’s established sales and logistics network. HF Sinclair will distribute Yubase Group III base oils throughout its designated markets while incorporating SK Enmove’s products into its own lubricant formulations. The companies said the arrangement is expected to improve supply chain stability, broaden customer access and support growth for both businesses.
