Busy Time for Fuchs
Fuchs China opened a new specialty lubricant plant in Wujiang, Suzhou, on July 16, expanding its local production capacity for specialty lubricants. The company has operated in Wujiang since 2016.
Built under the group’s FUCHS100 strategy, the facility focuses on rotary motion and specialty application solutions. It features Siemens control systems, FANUC coating robots and automated production processes designed to improve efficiency, product consistency and environmental performance.
The plant is also designed to handle a wide range of small-batch specialty lubricant orders, allowing faster response to customer requirements. Fuchs China said the investment strengthens its local manufacturing and technical support capabilities as China’s manufacturing sector shifts toward higher-value, more advanced production. The expansion is intended to improve supply flexibility, shorten delivery times and better serve customers requiring specialized lubricants across industrial applications.
Motul Kicks Off Vilube Vietnam Lubricant
Vietnam Lubricants and Chemicals Joint Stock Company (Vilube), Motul’s manufacturing arm in Vietnam, has begun construction of its Vilube 2 factory at Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park in Ho Chi Minh City. The expansion will increase production capacity and establish a regional hub for manufacturing and product development.
The project includes a 6,000-square-meter finished goods warehouse with space for 7,000 pallets across six racking levels and eight loading bays.
A two-story, 2,000-square-meter research and development center will house laboratories and a customer experience center. The facility will develop and test new Motul products, including higher-performance lubricants, industrial solutions, sustainable materials, rerefined base oil (RRBO) applications and improved packaging for regional markets.
Vilube said the investment will expand its production, storage and innovation capabilities while strengthening Motul Vietnam’s role in supplying customers in Vietnam and across the Asia-Pacific region.
Kano Laboratories acquires Triboscience & Engineering
Kano Laboratories LLC, a U.S. manufacturer of specialty chemicals and lubricants, has acquired Triboscience & Engineering (TSE), expanding its capabilities in high-performance lubrication. Financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 2000, TSE develops specialty oils, greases and proprietary lubrication systems for aerospace, medical devices, automotive, electronics and industrial manufacturing.
Kano said the acquisition strengthens its portfolio of penetrating oils and synthetic lubricants, including the Kroil and Super Lube brands, while adding TSE’s research and development expertise to its manufacturing and distribution network. TSE founder and President Paul Bessette will remain with the company to lead research and development. TSE will operate as Kano Laboratories’ Advanced Lubrication Science & Engineering Division.
