Easy Riders
Amsoil has reformulated its motorcycle lubricant lineup with the launch of Amsoil 100% Synthetic Motorcycle Oil, replacing its Synthetic Metric Motorcycle Oil with a product designed for modern high-performance motorcycles. The oil is formulated for four-stroke street, adventure, touring and racing motorcycles. AMSOIL said it delivers improved engine response, consistent power and enhanced protection for engines and transmissions operating under high-rpm, high-temperature conditions.
According to the company, the shear-stable formulation maintains viscosity in wet-clutch transmissions, supports smooth clutch engagement and shifting, and protects gears from wear. Advanced detergents help keep engines clean and maintain oil pressure during extended drain intervals. The oil meets or exceeds API SP and JASO MA2 specifications and is available in SAE 5W-40, 10W-30, 10W-40, 10W-50 and 15W-50 viscosity grades. It is manufactured in the United States and sold through Amsoil’s dealer and distribution network.
Ash of the Titan
Lubrizol and China’s Tongyi Petrochemical introduced two heavy-duty engine oils, including what they described as the industry’s first commercially available diesel engine oil developed through a fully artificial intelligence-driven research and development process. The Titan King AI Low-Ash Synthetic Diesel Engine Oil was developed using Lubrizol’s AI platform and Tongyi’s FluidMind system, which modeled lubricant performance using millions of historical test records and digital simulations. The companies said the approach reduced early-stage development time by about 75%. The formulation contains less than 1% sulfated ash and is designed for legacy diesel engines operating under China V and earlier emissions standards.
The Titan King Three-in-One Ultra-Low-Ash Synthetic Engine Oil is designed to meet API CK-4, Cummins CES 20086 and China’s new D1 standard in a single formulation. Lubrizol and Tongyi said the product underwent extensive vehicle testing and supports wider adoption of the D1 standard in commercial transportation.
Appetite for Construction
ZF has expanded its presence in South Korea’s construction market with the launch of two transmission oils for heavy-duty off-highway equipment: ZF PowerFluid Gold 1 and ZF PowerFluid Pro 1. The products are designed for ZF and non-ZF transmissions and axles used in machinery such as wheel loaders, dump trucks and excavators. According to the company, the lubricants are formulated to improve lubrication, shifting performance and component protection in demanding operating conditions.
ZF said PowerFluid Gold 1 offers enhanced wear and oxidation resistance for transmissions and axles, while PowerFluid Pro 1 is designed to improve wet friction and clutch performance, delivering smoother gear engagement and stable torque in modern powershift transmissions.
