Petronas Goes Pro

Petronas Lubricants International launched the Petronas Pro Series, a new industrial lubricants range unveiled at a trade event in Kuala Lumpur. The range consolidates application-specific products under one brand to simplify selection and support operators across industries.

The rollout includes four lines: ProKomp for air compressors, ProGris for heavy-duty greases, ProGear for gearboxes and ProHyd for hydraulic systems. Each is formulated to handle demanding conditions such as high loads, pressure and temperature fluctuations. The products are developed using Petronas Fluid Technology Solutions, combining in-house R&D with motorsports expertise from collaborations including the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, supporting performance, durability and thermal stability.

Group industrial managing director Udaya Kumar said the series improves access to Petronas technologies while enhancing efficiency and reliability. He noted the portfolio is designed with end users and maintenance professionals in mind.

Enchanté Chevron!

Chevron signed a distribution agreement with Kléber Malécot to supply Texaco Lubricants to agricultural and construction customers in France. The deal aims to expand access to lubricants and maintenance support as equipment fleets grow more complex. Texaco-branded engine oils, transmission fluids, greases and coolants will be integrated into Kléber Malécot’s offering. Chevron said the move responds to demand for higher uptime and tighter cost control as utilization rates rise.

The family-owned dealer will incorporate the portfolio into its wider services, including equipment sales, parts and aftersales support, giving customers a single point of contact aligned with OEM specifications across mixed fleets. Parts director Benoît Baudrillard said the focus is on application-specific lubricant selection to extend drain intervals and reduce downtime. The partnership also includes technical support, tailored maintenance planning and the LubeWatch oil monitoring service to track performance, detect wear early and optimise total cost of ownership.

New Light-duty Additive Package From BRB

BRB Lube Oil Additives & Chemicals has launched Petrolad® 9332, a new engine oil additive package introduced globally to enhance performance, efficiency and durability in automotive and industrial lubricants. Designed for light-duty engine oils, Petrolad® 9332 meets API SN performance requirements in applications where formal certification is not required. The company said testing confirms performance consistent with API SN standards, supporting reliability and technical robustness.

API SN-quality oils represent over 30% of the global passenger car lubricants market, while slower motorcycle electrification is expected to drive continued growth in motorcycle oils across Asia-Pacific and the Americas. The additive package provides oxidation and wear protection, reduces piston deposits, improves elastomer compatibility and limits seal degradation and oil leakage. It is also compatible with the Viscotech® 6540L series, supporting shear stability and single-source formulation, while contributing to fuel economy. The product is being rolled out across Europe, the United States and Asia.
