Petrolimex Rebrands to Highlight Digital and Green Energy Shift
Vietnam National Petroleum Group, known as Petrolimex, has launched a new brand identity as part of a broader shift toward digital transformation and cleaner energy. The rebranding was unveiled at a ceremony in Hanoi, where company leaders outlined plans to evolve from a conventional fuel supplier into a technology focused energy group. The updated logo preserves the familiar “P” symbol while adopting cleaner lines and brighter colors to reflect motion and modern energy.
Chairman Pham Van Thanh said the change signals a long-term commitment to innovation rather than a cosmetic update. Petrolimex is expanding investment in smart petrol stations, automated payment systems and electric vehicle charging across its nationwide retail network. The group is also advancing renewable energy projects as part of its growth strategy. Company officials said the new identity supports Vietnam’s national objectives for digital economic development and net zero emissions and will be rolled out across stations, tankers and offices during 2026.

Inner Mongolia Data Center Hosts a Fuchs First
Fuchs has deployed its Renolin ES Super immersion cooling fluid at an ultra-large artificial intelligence data center in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, marking the product’s first global use in AI data center backup power systems.
The project is led by Vision Group, a Chinese energy storage provider, and supports a facility built for trillion parameter AI model training with cabinet power densities exceeding 1 megawatt.
] Fuchs said conventional air-cooled backup systems struggle at such loads due to inefficient heat dissipation, elevated safety risks and higher power usage effectiveness. The immersion system is designed to deliver stable thermal control, to reduce fire and explosion risk through nonflammable and nonvolatile chemistry and to extend equipment life while lowering maintenance and downtime.
Fuchs said the solution can reduce power use effectiveness to below 1.3 compared with air-cooled systems and can support integration with photovoltaic and storage infrastructure. The company described the installation as a benchmark reference for immersion cooled backup power as AI driven data center capacity continues to expand globally.

Infineum Introduces New VW-friendly Ad Pack
Infineum has introduced its P6188 additive package after securing Volkswagen approval for SAE 0W-20 engine oils, expanding support for the automaker’s latest engine designs. The UK-based company said the product is available worldwide and enables finished lubricants to meet Volkswagen 508 00 and 509 00 specifications. Those standards define current performance requirements focused on efficiency, cleanliness and extended drain intervals.
Infineum said the technology combines market readiness with durability and fuel economy, allowing customers to offer approved oils aligned with new Volkswagen requirements. The specifications apply only to SAE 0W-20 oils and target improved fuel economy versus SAE 5W-30 references. The low-SAPS chemistry supports modern exhaust aftertreatment systems including particulate filters.

The oils are not backward compatible with earlier Volkswagen standards and typically align with ACEA C5 or C6. The requirements apply to select new engines across the Volkswagen Audi Group as emissions and fuel economy rules tighten globally further.
