Mercedes-Benz Engine Oils for the Senior Automobile
Mercedes-Benz Classic has introduced a new range of engine oils designed for vintage and young classic vehicles, developed with German independent lubricant company Fuchs. The oils address material and operating needs of Mercedes-Benz models built from the 1950s through the 2000s.

The range includes a 10W-40 oil for vehicles produced from 1971 onward, focusing on cold-start performance and low-friction operation for models such as the R107 and R129 SL-Class and W124 E-Class. A 20W-50 oil is aimed at older vehicles from the 1950s and 1960s and features additives to protect non-ferrous metals and historic sealing materials used in models including the W113 Pagoda and W198 300 SL.

The formulations were tested for compatibility with historic components during long storage periods. Mercedes-Benz said it now uses the oils for its own vehicle collection. Initial sales are in several European markets.
