Chevron Oronite has opened a new storage facility in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai, partnering with RSA-Talke, a logistics operator, to expand its supply chain capabilities in the Middle East.
The facility is designed to manage both hazardous and nonhazardous chemicals, with temperature-controlled storage, advanced fire-suppression and spill-containment systems, as well as dedicated handling and drumming lines, enabling safe and efficient chemical storage and distribution, the company said.
The move comes as demand for lubricants and fuel additives in the region rises, underpinned by growing industrial and petrochemical activity and increased import dependence.
“The new site represents an important step in expanding the company’s presence and unlocking new business opportunities,” Patrice Estoueig, area sales manager at Oronite, said, adding that the improved logistics setup would allow more robust and flexible customer service.
