The shipment is a significant step in Lopal’s global expansion strategy, Chinese media reported. The products sent to Zambia include diesel engine oil, gear oil, and hydraulic oil. According to Lopal’s head of overseas markets, this order is an important milestone in the company’s global strategy, and Lopal will continue to increase its investment in Africa.
Castrol launched BioTrans GB, an environmentally acceptable lubricant for marine thrusters, controllable pitch propeller systems and deck machinery. BioTrans GB meets U.S. Vessel Incidental Discharge Act requirements and complies with the biodegradation, toxicity and bioaccumulation criteria defined in the 2013 Vessel General Permit, the company said in a press release.
