ExxonMobil China started production at its ethylene project in Daya Bay Industrial Park, Huizhou, Guangdong. The site includes a steam cracker with 1.6 million tons of annual ethylene capacity, two linear low-density polyethylene units (1.2 million tons total), the world’s largest single-unit low-density polyethylene facility (500,000 tons), and two polypropylene units (950,000 tons total). It is the first major petrochemical project in China fully built by a US company.
Hitachi Energy has delivered India’s first 400 kV, 315 MVA three-phase power transformer using synthetic ester fluid to Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. Developed at its Vadodara facility, the transformer is the largest of its kind in the country by voltage and capacity.
The European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), together with national automotive associations from Czechia, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, has launched the Central and Eastern European Automotive Hub. Coordinated by the Czech Automotive Industry Association, the hub aims to strengthen cooperation and ensure regional perspectives are reflected in European Union policy.
