Lubrication Engineers Inc., a United States-based manufacturer of industrial lubricants, acquired RSC Bio Solutions, which makes biodegradable and environmentally acceptable lubricants.

The acquisition brings RSC’s Futerra and EnviroLogic products into Lubrication Engineers’ portfolio. These products are used in marine and industrial applications, respectively.

The deal marks LE’s second acquisition since partnering with private equity firm Aurora Capital Partners in September 2023. The company has since expanded its portfolio with synthetic and eco-friendly lubricants, positioning the company to capitalize on growing demand for performance and sustainability in asset reliability.

“RSC Bio Solutions has an impressive portfolio of sustainable products powered by proprietary technologies developed over decades,” said Lubrication Engineers CEO Eric Borland. “We’re excited to work alongside RSC’s team to ensure continued delivery of high-quality, sustainable solutions globally.”

Mike Guggenheimer, president and CEO of RSC, said the acquisition was a natural next step.

“We’ve long admired LE’s leadership in the sector and look forward to leveraging its infrastructure to scale our innovation and reach more customers,” he said in a press release.
