Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd. inked a three-year distribution partnership with Nayara Energy, which will place Gulf Oil’s range of automotive lubricants in the country’s largest chain of fuel retail outlets.
Nayara Energy has a network of more than 6,500 fuel retail outlets nationwide and operates India’s second-largest refinery.
Gulf Oil Lubricants India’s products will include specialized two-wheeler batteries, premium lubricants and Adblue, a diesel fuel additive. The company has manufacturing and research and development facilities in Silvassa and Ennore, in Chennai province.
“Lubes are an essential category in our (non-fuel retail) offerings,” said Madhur Taneja, chief marketing officer at Nayara Energy.
In 2020, Nayara struck up a similar deal with Shell, shortly after the company was rebranded from its former names of Essar Oil.
