There has been lots of HR movement at grease maker Axel Christiernsson. After almost 25 years as CEO, Johan Stureson is retiring. Stureson started at Axel when the company was had a couple European plants and was in the red. Today, the company has six plants across Europe and the United States and robust financial performance.

In his place steps Peter Lagerlof, who comes from Centriair, a company specialized in industrial odor treatment, and Emerson Automation in Sweden and the U.S.

Geoffrey Colpitts takes over as the interim president of Axel Americas and Axel Royal. 

Ib Jensen steps down as president and CEO of Perstorp Group after the integration with Petronas Chemicals Group Berhad.

Gorm Jensen moves into the managing directorship of Perstorp Holding AB from executive vice president for commercial and innovation.

Back in Petronas’ home country of Malaysia, Khalil Muri was appointed managing director and Group CEO of Petronas Lubricants International. Khalil joined PLI from Petronas Group. He takes over from Hezlinn Idris.

Helena Cressey is now Lubrizol’s new general manager for its U.K. R&D center at Hazelwood. She has worked at Hazelwood for 26 years, rising through the company from a lab chemist though management roles overseeing lab operations and technology.

VBASE, a synthetic ester base stock manufacturer from South Carolina, hired Stephen Eck as COO. Eck spent 15 years at Lubrizol and short time at Industrial Oils before jumping to VBASE.

The new general manager of Fuchs Peru is Moritz Kluger, previously director of business development at Fuchs in South America.

Sherri Evers joined ExxonMobil as North America lubes general manager from Imperial Canada, where she was senior vice president of sustainability, commercial development and product solutions.
