Dumping Claims May Trigger U.K. Tariffs

Authorities in the United Kingdom are mulling the imposition of import tariffs on certain engine oils and hydraulic fluids as a potential outcome of a probe by its trade regulator into alleged dumping of these products originating from Lithuania and the United Arab Emirates.

Moove Suspends IPO

Lubricant maker Moove postponed its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange a few hours before it was due to start. The company blamed “adverse market conditions” and orders from foreign investors being shy of the proposed share price range.

Petronas Lubricants International announced a partnership with tire maker Goodyear Italy. The Malaysian company will supply lubricants to Goodyear’s retail network throughout the country.

GuzelEnerji, a Turkish lubricant blender and distributor based in the western city of Izmir, has started making Valvoline lubricants having previously distributed the U.S. firm’s products in the country.

ASTM, in collaboration with other partners, will create a center of excellence focused on supporting standardization of critical and emerging technologies.
