U.S. Base Oil Exports Rise in May

The United States exported 11% more base oil in May – boosted by triple-digit percentage increases in volumes to India, Mexico and Nigeria – according to government data. In contrast, U.S. base oil import volumes for the month declined by 2%.

Valvoline Inc. announced today that Sam Mitchell is retiring as CEO and as a member of its board of directors effective Sept. 30. Mitchell will be succeeded by Lori Flees, current president of Retail Services, as the Lexington, Kentucky-based company’s CEO, and Flees will also join the company’s board.
