ConocoPhillips Co. announced Aug. 27 that it has outsourced its automotive chemicals business for the Phillips 66 and 76 Lubricants brands to Technical Chemical Co., a Cleburne, Texas, blender and packager of automotive fluids, aerosol products and refrigerant gases.

Under the agreement, TCC will blend and package brake, starting and steering fluids, gasoline treatments, cleaners and transmission sealers that will be sold by ConocoPhillips marketers. ConocoPhillips Programs Director John Brant said the arrangement will give marketers a broader product line with improved pricing and reduced shipping times.
