Oxea outlined list and off-list price increases for its carboxylic acids, olefin derivatives and poly alcohols, along with off-list price hikes for solvents, effective Jan. 1 or as contracts allow. The carboxylic acids price increases are by 80 to 150 per metric ton in Europe, and by 8 to 10 cents per pound in the Americas. Olefin derivates prices will go up by 10 cents/lb. in the Americas. Oxea will increase its polyol prices by 6 to 10 cents/lb. in the Americas.

The Oberhausen, Germany-based company will raise its prices for solvents by 5 cents/lb. in the U.S., Canada and Mexico; by $110/ton in South and Central America; and by $110/ton in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Carboxylic acids and olefin derivatives are used in synthetic lubricants. Polyols into lubricants and polymer additives.
