The new building is double the size of our current facilities and provides us the room necessary to build a state-of-the-art food grade lubricant manufacturing area, as well as planned technology improvements, President and Chief Executive Officer John Beasley said.
The new plant is located on a 6.3-acre parcel that would allow a 40-percent expansion in the future. Hydrotex plans to move out of its existing manufacturing operations, also in Tulsa, by the end of September. Joe Ivey, formerly of Bridgestone Firestone, has been appointed vice president of manufacturing for the new plant.
Hydrotex, which is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, manufactures and markets greases, industrial lubricants, engine oils, fuel and oil additives and specialty items with an ecosensitive focus. It sells products through lubrication consultants and division partners, with more than 125 sales territories throughout the United States.
