U.S. base oil producers reported no price changes in the wake of terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D.C. Tuesday. One marketer downplayed the likelihood of near-term increases stemming from the violence.
I think its a matter of demand, the marketer said Tuesday afternoon. And if things come to a halt like they have today, there wont be any increase in lube consumption.
