Among the surfactants produced by the new lines are fatty acid alkanolamides sold to metalworking fluid blenders under the Monamid brand and Perfad friction modifiers used in automotive lubricants.

The New Castle plant is located next to Uniqemas main office for the Americas. Uniqema is headquartered in Gouda, Netherlands, and is part of London-based Imperial Chemical Industries PLC.
