Brown Evans Distributing and Union Distributing merged to form Senergy Petroleum, which will distribute lubricants in Arizona and the U.S. Southwest. Terms were not disclosed.

According to their web sites, Brown Evans distributes Chevron, Texaco and MaxPro lubricants, and Union distributes 76, Conoco, Phillips 66, Kendall and Mystik lubricants.

Unions David Lueth and Warren Lueth and Brown Evans Kathye Brown will retain joint principal ownership, and industry veteran and former Canyon State Oil President Chris Lindblom will lead the new company as president and chief executive officer.

The combined strengths, scale and resources will create a premiere distributorship poised for significant and sustainable growth, said Lindblom. The pace of industry consolidation is accelerating, and Senergy will be optimally positioned for the changing market dynamics and continually evolving customer needs of today and tomorrow.

Union and Brown Evans together have key-vendor status with more than 4,000 commercial, industrial, agricultural and automotive fuels and lubricants customers.

Union Distributing, headquartered in Phoenix and co-founded by brothers David Lueth and Warren Lueth, operates full service bulk lubricants and fuels terminals, warehousing and offices in Phoenix and in Tucson. Union has grown from a five person operation in 1986, to a company with 80 employees.

Wayne and Kathye Brown acquired the distributor that became Brown Evans from the Evans family in 1982. Wayne Brown led the company until 1996, when he became mayor of Mesa, and Kathye Brown became president. Mesa-based Brown Evans has 50 employees and offers lubricants, wholesale fuels and a network of commercial fueling sites.
