OQ Chemicals will raise prices effective Jan. 1 for several oxo intermediates – including 2-ethyl hexanol – by 3 cents per pound in North America and Mexico and $66 per metric ton in South America. The chain intermediate 2-ethyl hexanoic acid can be found in a variety of applications, including synthetic lubricants.
