Corrosion Protection for Confined Areas
Cortec Corp. has introduced EcoFog VpCI-309 Nano a vapor-phase corrosion inhibitor corrosion inhibitor that protects ferrous metals in hard-to-reach recessed areas, interior cavities and voids. The company says the submicron particles diffuse faster, travel longer distances and have a larger specific surface area than products with larger size particles. EcoFog VpCI-309 Nano protects carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum and contains no silicates, phosphates, nitrites or heavy metals. It is available in 2.3-, 23- and 45-kg lined drums.

Global Engine Oils
Kapital Motorl has introduced Element motor oil for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles and Expedition engine oil for heavy-duty applications. The product line includes synthetic, semisynthetic and mineral engine oils that the company says meet the requirements of European, American and Japanese cars and commercial vehicles. By the end of 2018, the product range will also comprise oils for manufacturing, motorcycles and quads, agricultural and public works industries.

Grease Approved for Aircraft
Nyco announced that its Nyco Grease GN 148 has been approved by Air France Industries KLM Engineering and Maintenance for use in the airlines fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft. The company says the multipurpose synthetic grease meets BMS 3-33 B, AIMS 09-06-002, MIL-PRF-23827 and SAE AMS 3052 specifications. GN 148 can be used on actuators, doors, flaps, bearings, gears and stabilizers.

Engine/Gear Lubricant
Oxea has launched Oxlube L9-TMP, a direct replacement for caprylic/capric acid based trimethylolpropane ester, for use as a lubricant in engine oils, gearboxes and other demanding applications. The company says Oxlube L9-TMP offers the same performance but provides better availability than the product it replaces. The main raw material for the conventional product has been in short supply for the last two years, a condition that is expected to continue. Oxlube L9-TMP is based on n-pelargonic acid and is available in commercial quantities.
