Tellus S2 M 46 meets the OEM specifications of Bosch, Rexroth, Denison, Vickers and Eaton. It was recently selected by China Erzhong Heavy Industry Company for use in an 800-MegaNewton hydraulic press. Heavy-Duty Additive for Emerging Markets

Afton Chemical has launched HiTec 8744X heavy duty diesel oil additive for developing markets. While the additive targets out-of-warranty vehicles using API CH-4 oils, it can be used for under-warranty applications with the addition of a booster. The booster extends the profile to API CI-4 and certain OEM specifications. HiTec 8744X was developed in Group II base oils and with 25 to 35 shear stability index olefin co-polymer viscosity modifiers. AquaTec 5001 from oelheld U.S. is a synthetic metalworking fluid for moderate work on cemented carbides. The oil-free fluid contains a combination of inhibitors that reduce leaching of cobalt and nickel binders. The company says AquaTec 5001 also provides excellent lubricity and cooling for extended grinding wheel life and high-quality work piece finish. Particle Counter Supplies Repeatable Results

SBSS particle analyzing system from PAMAS GmbH helps evaluate the cleanliness of oil, hydraulic fluids, water and pharmaceutical suspensions. It can be used for batch and online sampling and for field measurements on-site. The company says that manufacturers of conventional particle counting systems use the SBSS as a reference to calibrate their systems. The SBSS is equipped with an integrated preadjustable sampling mode. It analyzes the sample directly from the sample container, removing the need to transfer it to another container. Clarification – An item in last months Product News indicated Chevron Oronites OLOA 46600 additive package was approved for use in certain GE Jenbacher engines fueled with landfill gas. It should have said the additive was a component of finished lubricants that have qualified for GE Jenbachers Technical Instruction List. The engine manufacturer only officially approves finished lubricants.
