Filling Easy with IBC Liner
CDF Corp. has modified its IBC form-fit liner to include holes in the perforated flaps to help hold the liner in place during filling. The company says that by keeping the liner squared, these flaps make fills easier. Once the IBC form-fit liner is filled, the flaps can be detached and used with a winder for dispensing. This feature is now part of all of CDFs stock IBC form-fit liners.
The liners are for use in top-fill applications using a bridge or automated filler, containers with no access doors for placing a liner at the bottom, high speed fills and viscous products that would get caught in the folds of pillow-shaped liners. www.cdf1.com
Synthetic ATFs Have Long Life
Amsoil Multi-Vehicle Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid and Amsoil Fuel-Efficient Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid have been added to the companys Signature Series family. The company says the fluids are recommended for twice the vehicle manufacturers severe-service drain interval and that they provide outstanding high- and low-temperature performance and excellent oxidation stability.
These transmission fluids are formulated to improve fuel efficiency, reduce transmission temperatures and increase equipment life. Multi-Vehicle Synthetic ATF is recommended for transmissions, hydraulics and power steering systems. Fuel-Efficient Synthetic ATF should only be used in transmissions. www.amsoil.com
Bio-based Fluids for Marine Applications
Klueber Lubrication has introduced the Klueberbio LR 9 series of synthetic, readily biodegradable hydraulic fluids, claiming that they have good viscosity-temperature behavior and low setting points. This enables the fluids to be used where temperatures vary considerably.
Klueberbio LR 9 fluids resist hydrolysis, providing longer oil change intervals and reliable operation in wet environments. Formulated with synthetic ester base stocks, these fluids are designed for use in mobile hydraulic systems in the marine and offshore industries. They are more than 60 percent biodegradable after 28 days, and they meet the requirements of ISO 15380, Bosch Rexroth RE 90221-01 and Swedish Standard SS 15 54 34.

Laser System Detects Dirt
Parker Hannifin has introduced icountBSplus, a portable sampling system that detects contamination in hydraulic oils and hydrocarbon fuels. The system is based on laser particle counting technology and can be used in the oil and gas, aerospace, agriculture and construction industries.
The system delivers results in as little as 15 seconds. It communicates in 12 languages and can store data from more than 500 tests. www.parker.com

Its purpose is to prevent food from adhering during processing.
The company says that Inor 3-H also protects machinery from damage by aggressive contaminants, thereby increasing equipment life. Foodmax Grease Inor 3-H is registered with InS under reference 1796089. www.lubes-portal.com
Website Lists Biolubes
A new website provides information on environmentally friendly alternatives for lubricants and hydraulic oils. The site was jointly developed by IVAM research and consultancy UvA BV, of the University of Amsterdam, and the Product Board for Margarine, Fats and Oils in cooperation with Rijkswaterstaat, part of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment.
The website, www.biolubricants. eu, gives big purchasers guidance in formulating requirements for contractors and suppliers involved in building and maintaining infrastructural works. Website visitors can subscribe to a newsletter about biolubricants.
