Citing supply and demand, OQ Chemicals increased prices effective Aug. 1 in Europe on both pelargonic acid and Ox lube L9-TMP by €180 per metric ton. Pelargonic acid is used as a raw material for esters production in numerous applications, including biobased lubricants, and Oxlube L9-TMP is a lubricant based on OQ Chemicals’ own pelargonic acid.
