Moresco Lubricates Fukushima Clean-up

Japanese specialty lubricant manufacturer Moresco Corp. will supply radiation-resistant lubricants for the decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, which may take as long as 30 years to complete, a company spokesperson told Lube Report last Friday.

Malaysia Updates Biodiesel Timeline

Malaysia aims to fully switch to B20 diesel by the end of this year, according to a Reuters report, completing a transition that was originally scheduled to be completed by the middle of last year but was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. The new mandate would give Malaysia diesel one of the world’s highest levels of renewable content.

Sales of motorcycles and scooters in four Southeast Asia countries – Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand – increased 14% to 344,991 in November, compared to the same month last year, according to Asean Automotive Federation data. It ended a streak of four consecutive months in which sales trailed year-earlier results and was also up 16% from 288,219 in October this year.
