Moresco Lubricates Fukushima Clean-up
January 14, 2022Japanese specialty lubricant manufacturer Moresco Corp. will supply radiation-resistant lubricants for the decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, which may take as long as 30 years to complete, a company spokesperson told Lube Report last Friday.

January 14, 2022Malaysia aims to fully switch to B20 diesel by the end of this year, according to a Reuters report, completing a transition that was originally scheduled to be completed by the middle of last year but was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. The new mandate would give Malaysia diesel one of the world’s highest levels of renewable content.

January 14, 2022The falling costs for wind energy turbines in China, where high coal prices have caused a number of power shortages during 2021, could represent a growth opportunity for the country’s wind industry, according to a new report. If so that could allow increased sales of oils and greases that lubricate them.

January 14, 2022Sales of motorcycles and scooters in four Southeast Asia countries – Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand – increased 14% to 344,991 in November, compared to the same month last year, according to Asean Automotive Federation data. It ended a streak of four consecutive months in which sales trailed year-earlier results and was also up 16% from 288,219 in October this year.
