Tianjin Complex Will Have Lube Plant

Sinopec announced recently that it is proceeding with plans to build a petrochemical refining complex in Tianjin, China, and that it will include a finished lubricant blending plant.

Japan Lube Demand Rises Again

Finished lubricants consumption in Japan grew 22% year-to-year in April, compared to the same month last year. It marked the third consecutive month this year of higher consumption totals than in the same month in 2020.

Profits Up for Gulf, Apar

Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd. and Indian transformer oil supplier Apar Industries Ltd. both reported large increases in profit and sales revenue for the quarter ended March 31. For their fiscal years ending on the same date, both companies posted slightly lower profit on higher sales.
