Shell launched a new range of high-performance automotive lubricants in India. The lineup includes Shell Spirax S4 GX 75W90, the company’s first synthetic gear oil under the Spirax category for manual transmissions in passenger cars and LCVs. Certified under API GL-4 and ZF-TE-ML-08 standards, it ensures smoother gear shifts, better protection and long-term cost savings. Shell also introduced Shell Advance AX6 5W30 for BS VI scooters, featuring an advanced synthetic formulation and packaged in a 600ml black bottle made entirely from 100% post-consumer recycled material. Another addition, Shell Rimula Pick-Up, is designed for urban pickup trucks, offering superior performance and extended drain intervals for BS IV and BS VI engines. Completing the range, Shell Helix Ultra uses PurePlus Technology, which converts natural gas into 99.5% pure base oil, providing up to 1.8% more engine power, 3.4% better responsiveness and consistent performance for smoother, more efficient driving.
Repsol’s Elite Evolution S 5W-30 is a synthetic lubricant for modern petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles equipped with emission control systems. Its Mid-SAPS formulation reduces emissions and protects engines with diesel or petrol particulate filters, Repsol says. Developed to meet Stellantis FPW9.55535/S3 standards, it provides enhanced wear protection for timing belts in certain Stellantis Group engines, specifically 1.5 BlueHDi (DV5R) diesel engines manufactured before February 2023 and 1.2L PureTech petrol engines (Euro 6.1). It complies with key international standards, including ACEA C3, API SP and SAE 5W-30, ensuring broad compatibility across modern engine technologies. Rigorously tested in Repsol’s advanced laboratories, Elite Evolution S 5W-30 is engineered to maintain peak performance, reduce environmental impact and extend engine life in next-generation passenger vehicles.
