GM Releases Dexos1 Gen 3 Details

After previously saying it would release Dexos1 Gen 3 in January and begin commercial licensing during the second quarter, General Motors is considering revising the schedule to push back at least some of the timing. The company plans to announce its decision soon.

The future of Mexicos state-run base oil plant will be troubled if the government continues to ignore investing in the aging structure, industry analysts said at a conference.

Opportunities Remain in Flat U.S. Industrial Market

U.S. demand volume for industrial oils and fluids is forecast to decrease by a compound annual rate of 0.3 percent out to 2023, but demand is rising for synthetic lubes and products used in select industry sectors, according to a Kline & Co. study.
